Privacy Policy

What Lookpix looks at

With your permission, Lookpix reads your Photos library and the folders you choose in the Files app. It uses them only on your iPhone, to build a search index: what's in each picture, the text in it, and details such as names, sizes and dates.

That index is stored inside Lookpix on your iPhone. Removing Lookpix removes it.

What Lookpix never does

Lookpix has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It never uploads your photos, files, the text in them, or what you search for.

Face ID

Identity documents open only after Face ID or your passcode. This uses Apple's system authentication; Lookpix never receives your face data.

iPhone Search and Siri

Lookpix adds your collections, and the names and some text of your files, to iPhone Search on your device, so you can find them from the Home Screen. Identity documents are never added. This index is kept by iOS on your iPhone. You can turn it off in Settings › Apps › Lookpix › Siri & Search.

Smarter Search download

Smarter Search is optional. If you choose to download it, your iPhone fetches the model file from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). As with any download, Hugging Face receives standard request details such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy. No photos, text or searches are sent, before or after the download.

Purchases

Any purchases are made through Apple. Lookpix never receives your payment details.
